Each tablet contains 2.5 mg of oxandrolone.

OXANDROLONE is an anabolic steroid. It can help you retrieve muscle mass or weight after severe loss of weight .It is also used to treat ostealgia due to osteoporosis.

Dosage:

Adults:- The daily adult dosage is 2.5 mg to 20 mg given in 2 to 4 divided doses.

Children:-  daily dosage ≤0.1 mg per kilogram body weight.

INDICATIONS AND USAGE

  • They are used as accessory therapy which may help in weight gain after severe loss of weight due to ample surgeries, chronic infections, or accidents,trauma,etc..
  • Relief of ostealgia caused by osteoporosis.

 Risk factors: Anaver 2.5mg x 100

  • Liver problems: Oxandrolone may potentiate formation of tumors of the liver and serious diseases called peliosis hepatis (proliferation of sinusoids of liver), which may ultimately lead to liver failure.
  • Changes in blood lipid test: Oxandrolone fluctuates  levels of lipid and increases heart related problems.
  • Fluid retention: Fluid retention may lead to serious complications in patients with risk of heart or liver failure . Sign of inflammation is a serious red flag to be concerned about
  • Stunted growth in children: This is because of faster maturation of bones.
  • Prostate problems: Older people are at higher risk of prostate cancer.

Contraindications: Anaver 2.5mg x 100

  1. Cancer of  prostate or of male breast.
  2. Adenocarcinoma in females.
  3. Pregnancy, because of possible development of male characters in female.Oxandrolone also shows teratogenic effects.
  4. Nephrotic or nephritic syndromes.
  5. Hypercalcemia.

Drug Interactions: Anaver 2.5mg x 100

  • Anticoagulants: Oxandrolone increases the  susceptibility or responsiveness of oral anticoagulants. Thus the dosage of anticoagulants must be decreased.

 

  • Warfarin: It is an anticoagulant whose susceptibility is increased by oxandrolone thus prothrombin time (PT) should be monitored closely. Furthermore, in patients receiving both drugs, careful monitoring of the INR or PT, and adjustment of the warfarin dosage if indicated are recommended when the oxandrolone dose is changed or discontinued. Patients should be closely monitored for signs and symptoms of occult bleeding.

 

  • Oral Hypoglycemic Agents: Oxandrolone hinders  the metabolism of oral hypoglycemic agents.

 

  • Adrenal Steroids or ACTH: Oxandrolone along with ACTH increases edema in edema prone patients.

Adverse effects: Anaver 2.5mg x 100

  • In Males:

    Continual or resolute penile erections.

Testicles may shrink in size, absence of testicular functions, testicular atrophy and decreased sperm count.

  • In Females

Clitoral enlargement, oligomenorrhea.

  • CNS

Addiction, dependence, euphoria,  excitement,  sleeplessness,  restlessness, depression

  •  Gynecomastia.
  • Deepening of the voice or voice mutation in females.
  • Pilosos and male pattern baldness in females.
  • Skin: acne pustules, zits.
  •  Premature closure of epiphyses in children.
  • Retention of fluids.
